"Used this brand for the first time during fieldwork, and it was an awful experience. It caused my nose to run constantly and my eyes to sting so badly I couldn't open them. I thought I was having an allergic reaction to grass pollen or something (despite not having a history of it), so I used this sunscreen again the next day and ended up with the exact same symptoms, plus a headache from constantly losing water and squinting my eyes shut. Borrowed a different brand's sunscreen from a coworker for the rest of the field season, and had no more issues. I don't know about Sun Bum's other products, but I definitely do not recommend this one."

"This is the best facial sunscreen I have tried in the US. Most sunscreens I've tried, even for face, are too oily and leave a greasy film, but this one dries down to a nice, mostly matte finish with a light sheen. I have dry skin, so this works perfectly for me. Others have commented that this one stings the eyes badly, but I have not experienced that. Now, I don't put sunscreen on my eyelids because most of them DO sting my eyes and I just avoid it entirely, but I have also not had a problem with this running into my eyes and stinging them. The texture is more liquidy, but that is not a problem for me. Once you learn how to work with it, it's very easy to put on. And it seems like the more runny consistency is what helps it dry down so nicely. This also does not break me out. All in all, this is my holy grail American sunscreen. 10/10, I have bought several and will buy again."
